Alan and Alison have worked together since 2006. Both love learning, helping others, and facilitating change in the health of their clients. What makes their model of care different is that all treatments are with both therapists to amplify the effectiveness and efficiency of the work.

Athletic his entire life, Alan and his family were always interested in health and performance. He consistently saw a chiropractor growing up for his back pain, though it was not until his little sister needed surgery to remove a tumor in her spinal cord at the age of 12, that they found Integrative Manual Therapy (IMT). Alan was in Chiropractic school at the time, and went to investigate IMT as well as receive treatment for his own back pain. His low back scoliosis and unlevel pelvis was corrected in a few treatment sessions. He began to study Integrative Manual Therapy in 2002. From there, he began to consume different health related books, articles, classes and seminars of all kinds.

He is passionate about diet modifications to affect changes in hormonal health and body composition. Studying the body also lead to him becoming interested in different movement arts, and he fell in love with parkour and obstacle course training. He now owns and operates Apex Movement NorCal and is a competitor on NBC’s American Ninja Warrior.

Alison, at 16, had to stop all academics and athletics because of an unknown illness. Ultimately, it was determined that there had been a virus in her spinal cord that left her quadriplegic, unable to move from the neck down. A number of neurologic issues and organ damage insured, causing her family to search for relief, healing and answers. About a year later, she tried Integrative Manual Therapy.

Within 5 months, she was walking again without even the use of a cane. Because of the powerful influence of IMT, Alison went on to study with them, beginning in 2003.

She loves bringing hope and compassion into treatment sessions and enjoys working with moms and babies, the lymphatic system, detox. Similar to Alan, Alison loves to try new forms of movement. Currently she swims, does aerial silks and teaches Kripalu Yoga at Apex Movement NorCal.
